Who We Are

A small crew that handles the hard jobs, the right way.

Bio Pro Boston is an owner-operated biohazard remediation and specialty property services company based in Peabody, Massachusetts. Led by owner James DiBenedetto, our crew takes on the jobs that are tough physically and sometimes emotionally, and we handle them with compassion, confidentiality, and care.

Some of our clients are going through the worst week of their lives. Others are older adults we serve through local elder-services programs, helping them stay safe and independent at home. Every one of them gets the same thing from us: a crew that shows up, does it right, and leaves the place better than we found it.

The Bio Pro Boston Mission
What We Do

No two days look the same.

Here's the kind of work you'd be doing with us. You'll learn every one of these step by step, alongside an experienced crew lead.

Rodent Decontamination

Dropping cleanup, disinfecting, and contaminated insulation removal in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and garages.

Hoarding & Clutter

Respectful, judgment-free cleanouts that help people get their homes, and their lives, back.

Estate & House Cleanouts

Clearing homes after a death, move, or sale, room by room, alongside the family.

Trauma & Biohazard

Blood, crime scene, and unattended death cleanup, done thoroughly and discreetly.

Sewage Backups

Category 3 water cleanup: removal, disinfection, and drying so the space is safe again.

Odor Remediation

Finding and removing the real source of odors like pet urine, smoke, and decomposition, not just covering them up.

Deep Cleaning & Heavy Chore

Gross filth cleanup and deep cleaning, including for older adults through elder-services programs.

Vehicles & Boats

Biohazard and odor cleanup for cars, trucks, and boats.

Tractor & Excavation

Land clearing and site work. Plus medical waste, tear gas cleanup, and more.

How We Operate

Six things we never compromise on.

This is what it means to wear the Bio Pro Boston shirt.

01

Compassion first

We treat every client and every home with dignity. No judgment, no comments, no jokes about someone's home, ever.

02

Confidential, always

What we see on a job stays on the job. That includes conversations with friends and social media.

03

Safety isn't optional

Proper protective gear on every job and written procedures for every service. Suspect asbestos gets tested before anyone touches it.

04

Prove the work

Before and after photos on every job. We disinfect thoroughly with hospital-grade products and check our work with a UV light.

05

Own your day

Show up on time, communicate, and log your hours and job notes every day in our crew app before you leave the site.

06

One crew

Leads train and back up technicians. Nobody gets left alone on a tough job.

A Day on the Crew

Here's how a typical job runs.

Check the schedule

Your jobs, addresses, and times are all in our crew app.

Walk the job

Meet your crew lead on site, walk the space, and take before photos.

Suit up

Put on the right protective gear and set up the work area.

Do the work

Follow our step-by-step procedure for that type of job.

Finish strong

Final walkthrough, after photos, and log your time and notes before you leave.

Open Roles

Find your spot on the crew.

Not sure which fits? Apply anyway and pick "Not sure." We'll figure it out together.

Pay

Start at $20. Earn more by how you work.

Every role is hourly. Your rate is built on the things that matter most here: showing up on time, doing the job right, and taking care of our clients. Do those things consistently and your pay goes up, starting from day one.

Starting base
$20/hour

Where everyone starts

Every new crew member starts at $20 an hour while you learn the job and show us how you work.

Standards rate
$25/hour

Earned from the start

Do everything right, consistently, and you earn $25 an hour, even as a brand-new hire. That means:

  • On time, every time
  • Clients who are happy with your work
  • Jobs done right the first time, following procedure
  • Hours, notes, and photos logged every day
  • Professional, respectful, and safe on every job
Top rate
$30+/hour

Room to keep growing

Experience, professionalism, and productivity can take you to $30 an hour and beyond. Crew members who lead, train others, and consistently deliver earn the most.

W-2

You're an employee, paid by direct deposit

  • W-2 employee, not a contractor. You're on our payroll. We withhold your taxes from each paycheck, and you get a W-2 form at tax time, so there are no surprise tax bills like with 1099 or "cash" work.
  • We pay our share too. As your employer, we pay our part of Social Security and Medicare on your wages.
  • Workers' compensation. As W-2 employees, our crew is covered by workers' comp insurance if you're hurt on the job.
  • Direct deposit. Your pay goes straight into your bank account. No checks to cash.
  • Paid for every hour you log. Your hours come from what you record in our crew app each day.

Your rate is reviewed based on your performance. The $25 standards rate is earned and kept by consistently meeting the standards above.

Is This Job for You?

Let's be honest up front.

  • Blood, rodent waste, sewage, or strong odors make you want to walk out
  • You can't commit to showing up on time, every scheduled day
  • You're not willing to wear a respirator and full protective suit for hours, sometimes in the heat
  • Heavy lifting, kneeling, ladders, attics, and crawl spaces aren't for you
  • You'd post about a job, or talk about a client's home, outside of work
  • You want to do things your own way instead of following procedure

You'll do great here if…

  • You take pride in leaving a place spotless

  • You're reliable. When you say you'll be there, you're there
  • You like physical work and seeing real results at the end of the day
  • You follow instructions, ask questions, and want to get better
  • You want to earn more by doing excellent work
